About the role

2-month contract with no anticipated extension starting 10/05/2026 and ending on 11/25/2026.


Location Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States, ideally working EST or CST time zones.
  • Must be available to travel to Bethesda, MD at least once during the engagement, with additional travel as business needs require.

The IoT team manages and supports the enterprise IoT ecosystem, including connected device platforms,

integrations, security, and operational processes that enable reliable business technology services at Client's

headquarters. This role designs, develops, enhances, and supports applications within the Client Associate

App ecosystem and supporting technology stack. The role partners with vendors and managed Service

Providers to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions while contributing to the continuous

improvement of application performance, stability, and user experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with external vendors to review and align on technical designs, requirements, and delivery approaches.
  • Validate technical solutions and ensure proposed implementations are scalable, supportable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor application and service health, availability, and operational performance.
  • Support troubleshooting, incident resolution, and technical issue management across multiple platforms and integrations.
  • Implement appropriate monitoring, safeguards, and tracking mechanisms to ensure reliable system operations.
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams to identify risks, drive resolution, and support ongoing delivery efforts.
  • Provide clear communication of status, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required:

  • 7 years minimum of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications in Linux, Windows, Mobile, COTS, and/or cloud-based environments.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications.


Work Activities

  • Designs, develops, tests, and supports software solutions within the Client Associate App ecosystem.
  • Implements scalable cloud-based applications and services using Java and related technologies.
  • Develops and maintains REST and SOAP web services, ensuring security, reliability, and performance across enterprise platforms.
  • Provides operational support and technical guidance for mobile applications, web applications, and backend systems leveraging RDBMS and distributed environments.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex application, integration, and performance issues across multiple technology platforms.
  • Manages and optimizes web and mobile application ecosystems, focusing on system integration, performance monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with vendors and Service Providers to support delivery, issue resolution, and operational excellence.
  • Participates in system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Builds constructive relationships and effectively communicates technical concepts and recommendations to project teams, IT leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leads complex technical problem-solving activities and contributes to cross-functional project delivery.
