Salary & Work Arrangement
This casual position offers a salary ranging from $25.68 to $27.31 per hour, aligned with Grid 10 of the Health Sciences Association Community Bargaining Agreement. Work hours are up to 36 hours per week on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed hours, but requiring a minimum of 225 hours over any 12-month period. This is a hybrid remote role, with a primary home office location and secondary work options from Open Door Group offices in Vancouver, Kamloops, or Sechelt, based on the successful candidate's residence.
Your Role as a Financial Clerk
Reporting to the Financial Administrator, the Financial Clerk will manage complex tasks related to accounts receivable, billing, and client payments. Key responsibilities include:
- Posting to the general ledger and reconciling accounts.
- Preparing monthly government claims for approval and submission.
- Processing financial transactions such such as payroll entries, billing, and reconciliations using computerized systems.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing financial summaries.
- Assisting with audits and budget preparations.
- Performing cash management functions, including issuing payments and reconciling bank statements.
- Responding to inquiries and verifying payment information.
- Providing general administrative support.

Qualifications
- Accounting Certificate.
- Minimum two years of recent, relevant experience, preferably within non-profit, social services, or government-funded programs.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
