Overview
Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is seeking an Investment Associate Value Creation - Equities to join the Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG). You will work with deal teams and portfolio companies to identify, assess and implement strategic initiatives that accelerate value creation within the private capital space.
Who You'll Work With
You will join a cross-asset team focused on driving value creation across Ontario Teachers’ portfolio. The primary support will be for the Private Capital team, with collaborative opportunities across Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG) and Infrastructure (INR) portfolios.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-depth analyses in various functional areas like pricing, operations, digital and change management.
- Develop and refine value creation plans including KPI frameworks and execution roadmaps.
- Collaborate with management teams to drive strategic initiatives, tracking progress against goals.
- Codify best practices and assist in crafting playbooks used across the portfolio.
- Support due diligence by conducting commercial assessments and liaising with external advisors.
- Participate in cross-asset initiatives and contribute to internal projects such as portfolio analytics and CEO forums.
- Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and portfolio company leadership.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or operating roles within VC/PE-backed companies is necessary. Excellent analytical, communication and relationship-building skills are essential. Proficiency in Excel modelling, SQL, Python, or similar tools is preferred.
