Overview
Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is seeking an Investment Associate for its Private Capital team based in Toronto. In this role, you will evaluate direct private equity investments in North America and support the Financial Services strategy across various sectors including private equity, asset management, financial technology, and more.
Who You'll Work With
You will join the Toronto office and work alongside senior team members and professionals located in Toronto, London, Mumbai, and Singapore, as well as external advisors such as management teams, investment bankers, board directors, and lawyers.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate new investment opportunities through industry and company research.
- Develop sophisticated financial models including LBO and DCF analysis.
- Manage third-party advisors and support transaction execution.
- Assist in post-transaction management and value-enhancing initiatives.
- Generate proprietary deal flow and build relationships with fund partners.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 2+ years of related post-grad experience in private equity, investment banking, or M&A advisory.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or investment analysis.
- CFA or other meaningful designations are a plus.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Strong Excel proficiency and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex and demanding environment.
- Willingness to travel primarily within North America.
