Overview

At OneSpan, we specialize in digital identity and anti-fraud solutions that create exceptional and secure experiences. The Director, Cloud Architecture and Operations role is a blend of technical leadership and people management within our SaaS Cloud team supporting our security business unit.

Role Description

This role involves overseeing the development, deployment, maintenance, and operations of critical, scalable cloud environments. You will provide technical coaching in infrastructure design and technology selection, while managing and growing high-performing DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise production environments and enforce operational and security measures.
  • Establish end-to-end monitoring and alerting to ensure 24x7 support.
  • Ensure availability, reliability, and performance (SLI/SLO/SLA) for OneSpan cloud products.
  • Drive automation, infrastructure-as-code practices, and FinOps initiatives.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, and security teams for seamless product delivery.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, standards, and runbooks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams of DevOps and cloud operations administrators.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in the software industry, with at least 5 years in AWS environments.
  • Proven 5+ years managerial experience in developing high-performing teams using a servant leadership approach.
  • Hands-on expertise with a wide range of AWS services (ECS, EKS, EC2, Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in automation, orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and continuous deployment.
  • At least 3 years using IAC tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, or Ansible.
  • Experience in software development, distributed system management, and DevOps practices.
  • Interest and experience in leveraging artificial intelligence within a DevOps context.
