Role Summary

The Payroll Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of payroll professionals in processing, settlement, and fulfillment of payroll tasks. This role involves direct client interaction through ticketing, coaching team members, and ensuring compliance with payroll best practices. Reporting to the Sr. Payroll Services Manager, the position is ideal for a payroll expert who excels in client advocacy and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities and serve as the primary client contact.
  • Lead daily team operations and ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Monitor productivity, evaluate performance, and implement corrective actions.
  • Consult with cross-functional teams and co-develop best practices.
  • Train and mentor team members while fostering career development.
  • Manage escalated issues and provide direction during the manager's absence.

Competencies & Qualifications

Strong communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are required. A minimum of 5 years of payroll/tax experience and 3 years in a leadership role are essential, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. High School diploma is required, while an Associate degree and certifications (FPC/CPP) are preferred.
