As an Audio Annotation specialist, you will play a crucial role in training and evaluating cutting-edge voice assistant technology by meticulously identifying and labeling conversational events in recorded audio interactions.
This role offers a flexible, remote opportunity for native-level speakers across various target languages, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities of an Audio Annotation Specialist
- Listen to recorded conversations with precision and apply accurate, time-stamped labels to distinguish speakers and identify conversational events.
- Adhere strictly to detailed project guidelines, ensuring consistency and high-quality data output.
- Successfully complete the OneForma Certification process and KYC verification.
- Pass all required practice tasks within the client’s annotation tool prior to commencing production work.
Main Requirements
To be successful in this Audio Annotation role, candidates should possess:
- Native fluency in one of the specified target languages: Chinese (Hong Kong), Chinese (Taiwan), Chinese Simplified (China), Dutch (Belgium), English (Singapore), German (Germany), Malay (Malaysia), Norwegian-Bokmal (Norway), Turkish (Turkey).
- Strong listening comprehension skills and the ability to differentiate between multiple speakers in audio recordings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the discipline to follow complex linguistic and technical guidelines accurately.
- A reliable personal computer, a stable internet connection, a microphone, and a headset.
- Comfort working with web-based annotation tools.
- Previous experience in annotation, transcription, linguistics, or data labeling is advantageous but not strictly required.
Commitment and Compensation
This is an ongoing project requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, contingent on task availability and maintaining performance quality. Compensation is provided per approved audio hour or task, with specific rates disclosed to qualified candidates during the onboarding process.
