Job Summary
The Senior Solutions Engineer is a hands-on technical problem-solver responsible for designing, implementing, and improving endpoint, security, and network solutions across IT teams. This role involves building and enhancing Apple endpoint management (JAMF, zero-touch provisioning), deploying security tooling, automating infrastructure, and addressing cross-functional technical challenges. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Information Technology, the primary objective is to elevate the end-to-end employee technology experience by ensuring reliable, self-provisioning, and secure endpoints, while simultaneously strengthening the organization's security posture. This is a high-autonomy, high-accountability role for individuals who thrive on solving complex problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Endpoint Engineering & Apple Platform Ownership
- Own the design, deployment, and management of JAMF Pro for macOS and iOS devices.
- Build and maintain zero-touch provisioning workflows for immediate device readiness.
- Develop and enforce endpoint standards for both Apple and Windows environments.
- Partner with endpoint engineering and service desk teams for a seamless end-user experience.
Security & Network Tooling
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot endpoint security agents (EDR, anti-ransomware, etc.).
- Manage endpoint deployment for network security and remote access platforms.
- Ensure consistent deployment and reporting of endpoint agents across device fleets.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams on endpoint compliance.
Cross-Functional Problem-Solving & Technical Advisory
- Serve as a deployable technical resource to diagnose and resolve systemic IT issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and integration failures.
- Evaluate and recommend optimizations for existing tools and configurations.
- Document findings, solutions, and standards to build institutional knowledge.
Automation & Operational Improvement
- Script and automate repetitive workflows using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or native tooling.
- Build monitoring and alerting for endpoint health and deployment success.
- Identify and implement process improvements for IT operations reliability.
Educational And Experience Requirements
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in endpoint engineering, IT infrastructure, or systems engineering.
- Deep expertise in JAMF Pro (or equivalent Apple MDM).
- Strong experience with macOS, iOS, and Windows endpoint management.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting endpoint security agents and network security clients.
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or AppleScript.
- Experience with mixed device fleets and complex network topologies.
