Job Overview

The Senior Expert Automation Engineering role at OMV Petrom involves coordinating and planning automation solution development, implementing AI-driven automation, and ensuring effective technical service delivery. This role requires deep technical expertise along with maintaining business continuity through continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan automation solution development including resource planning and robot type definition.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis, resolve incidents, and trigger change processes.
  • Act as primary customer interface and collaborate with process owners to analyze automation potential.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain automation solutions while resolving complex service failures.
  • Improve IT processes and automation services through continuous knowledge exchange and best practices.
  • Consult on technical solutions with stakeholders from Borealis Digital Solutions and project teams.
  • Report on defined KPIs and perform analysis in case of technical system failures.
  • Centralize and analyze business requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and estimations.

Requirements

  • Master Diploma in IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Over 9 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in traditional RPA and AI-driven automation using tools like Blue Prism, Copilot Studio Agent, and Azure OpenAI.
  • Strong background in IT and software development with multiple programming languages.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes.
  • Familiarity with Information Security principles, business process improvement, and industry standards such as TOGAF.
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
