The Role

As a Senior Video Editor, you will both execute high-level video editing and lead a growing team. You will craft 2-10 minute VSLs that drive revenue, mentor junior editors, and establish creative standards. Training in cutting-edge direct response editing techniques is provided, with a clear path to a Creative Strategist role.

What You Will Do

Editing Responsibilities:
  • Edit high-converting VSLs (2-10 minutes) for Facebook and YouTube ads.
  • Craft hooks, narratives, and calls-to-action that drive purchases.
  • Integrate captions, motion graphics, and product callouts.
  • Stay current with direct response trends.
  • Deliver 2-3 high-quality VSLs per week.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 2-4 video editors.
  • Provide constructive feedback and set quality standards.
  • Manage project timelines ensuring deadline adherence.
  • Collaborate with founders and creative leadership on strategy.
  • Help build systems and workflows as the company scales.
  • Train team members on direct response editing techniques.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years video editing experience for ecommerce brands.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong understanding of direct response marketing and VSL structure.
  • Portfolio showcasing ecommerce ads, VSLs, or performance marketing videos.
  • Excellent English for communication.
  • Desktop setup with advanced specs (2 monitors, 32GB+ RAM, RTX 3060/4060 or similar, 2TB+ SSD, 8+ core CPU).
  • Available for 40 hours per week and long-term commitment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in managing or mentoring other editors.
  • Familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, or AI editing tools.
  • Understanding of Facebook and Google ads platforms.
  • Experience with men's products or value-driven audiences.
  • Active knowledge of social media trends and conversion tactics.
