About Director, Sports Marketing
Omnicom Media Group (OMG), the media services division of Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC), delivers transformational experiences for consumers, clients, and talent. Optimum Sports, the dedicated sports marketing agency within OMG, operates across both sports sponsorship and sports media landscapes to offer unique multi-platform sports marketing strategies.
Role Overview
The Director reports to the Managing Director and serves as the direct line of communication with clients. Responsibilities include designing and overseeing sponsorship marketing and ticketing strategies for assigned client(s), evaluating opportunities, managing execution, and providing follow-up analysis.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or Communications
- 8+ years in sponsorship marketing with direct client access
- 4+ years relevant experience in sports
- Experience in sports sponsorships, 360 activations, and local partnership stewardship
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Docs, and Teams
Critical Skills & Responsibilities
- Develop integrated sponsorship and media strategies
- Manage day-to-day client communications and internal teams
- Oversee sponsorship asset tracking and budget management
- Create strategic presentations and leverage third-party research
- Mentor direct reports and co-lead sports strategy development
Compensation & Work Arrangement
Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 USD. This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office and two days remote, with in-office days flexible based on team needs.
