Job Purpose

The Field Sales Engineer – West will manage relationships and drive sales for the Ecosorb Industrial brand in the West region of the United States. This role requires technical expertise to explain the benefits of OMI solutions and services while demonstrating product effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver presentations on Ecosorb solutions.
  • Sell products by assessing needs, conducting on-site visits, and crafting proposals.
  • Visit potential customers to demonstrate applications and proper usage.
  • Create custom proposals and quotes to address odor issues.
  • Manage customer information in Salesforce CRM.
  • Troubleshoot systems and perform minor on-site repairs.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Sales, and Service teams.

Key Competencies

Competencies include prospecting, relationship building, communication in multiple languages, interpersonal skills, selling benefits, time management, mechanical and technical aptitude.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years sales experience; experience in Asphalt or Wastewater is a plus.
  • Proven sales record with technical and product line experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce CRM.
  • Understanding of chemistry, physics, math, and construction applied to product design.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% overnight.

Travel & Work Environment

This role involves domestic travel throughout the West region for customer visits, trade shows, and meetings. Work is conducted outdoors in various weather conditions and environments, with exposure to industrial settings and required PPE use.
