About the role
Full-Stack Software Engineer at Omber, Inc.
Omber is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and ship features across our entire product stack. You'll work on everything from database schema design to user-facing interfaces, collaborating closely with product, design, and other engineers to turn ideas into working software.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain features across the frontend and backend
- Develop and consume RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Model data and write efficient queries against relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Partner with design to build responsive, accessible user interfaces
- Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
- Contribute to technical planning, architecture decisions, and CI/CD workflows
- Debug and resolve production issues end to end
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience (adjust for seniority)
- Proficiency with a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or Svelte) and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Strong backend experience in at least one of Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or Ruby
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling
- Experience with Git, code review, and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization
- Ability to communicate clearly and work independently in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in testing strategy (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Exposure to event-driven architectures, queues, or streaming systems
- Contributions to open source or side projects
