Technical Writer / Business Analyst / Trainer

Overview

OM Group, Inc. is seeking a versatile Technical Writer / Business Analyst / Trainer to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). In this hybrid role, you will gather requirements, produce user-friendly technical documentation, and deliver structured training for enterprise IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical documentation including user guides, FAQs, and online help for Oracle APEX applications.
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather and document functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear specifications and training content.
• Design and deliver training sessions for diverse user groups.
• Create training collateral such as manuals, quick reference guides, and presentations.
• Maintain version control and provide ongoing user support.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts and ensure IT and cybersecurity standards alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–7 years in technical writing, business analysis or training roles.
• Strong documentation, analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Active security clearance.
• Preferred familiarity with Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and USACE management systems.
