Job Overview

Oliver James is partnering with a specialty insurer to hire a Claims Manager - Property. In this senior technical role, you will provide oversight on a caseload of complex commercial property claims managed by TPAs. You will advise on claims handling, offer litigation and coverage advice, and drive TPA strategy across the claims group.

Role & Responsibilities

The Claims Manager - Property will:

  • Manage daily operations of the claims department.
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of claims adjusters.
  • Develop and implement claims handling procedures.
  • Monitor claims processes ensuring timely settlements.
  • Interface with departments to improve service delivery.
  • Prepare regular status reports and analyze trends.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication.

Key Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years commercial property claims experience.
  • 3+ years claims leadership experience managing adjusters.
  • Direct experience handling complex, large losses (>$250,000).
  • Knowledge of commercial property litigated matters.
  • Experience with litigation and coverage investigation.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to act as a technical lead.
  • Experience managing TPA relationships and strategy.
  • Adjuster License in multiple states including Florida.

Additional Information

This hybrid role is based out of Florida and Northeast locations, with fully remote options for some candidates. The position offers a competitive base salary up to $140,000 plus a 15% annual bonus, along with a clear career path.
