The Role: Network Automation Engineer
Based in London, with excellent hybrid working flexibility, they are seeking a highly skilled Network Automation Engineer. This role demands extensive experience in network infrastructure support and a strong desire to further develop automation capabilities.
You will have the opportunity to work across high-performance, low-latency networks, utilizing a diverse tech stack including Arista, Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper. Beyond complex support for on-premise and data center networks, you'll be heavily involved in critical project work, focusing significantly on automation and coding initiatives.
The entire company is committed to the automation and evolution of their infrastructure. This means embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, applying DevOps methodologies, utilizing Python for scripting, and leveraging tools like Terraform.
Requirements
- Great experience in IT network infrastructure support and engineering.
- Proven experience with firewalls, Cisco routing and switching, and load balancing.
- Extensive experience in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform.
- Coding experience, ideally with Python, is highly beneficial.
- Good, broad knowledge of network support and engineering tools and technologies.
- Experience with low-latency and/or complex networks is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VRFs, and VXLAN.
