Network Automation Engineer, FinTech at Oliver Bernard
Oliver Bernard is seeking a skilled Network Automation Engineer for a global FinTech client. This client works with hedge funds, exchanges, and banks worldwide, developing cutting-edge, low-latency trading technology.
Based in London, with excellent hybrid working flexibility, you will join a team focused on high-performance and low-latency networks. You will gain exposure to technologies such as Arista, Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper, among others.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide complex support for on-premise and data centre networks.
- Lead and contribute significantly to project work, particularly in network automation and the application of code.
- Engage with a company culture dedicated to the automation and evolution of infrastructure, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps methodologies, Python, and tools like Terraform.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in IT network infrastructure support and engineering.
- Demonstrated experience with firewalls, Cisco routing and switching, and load balancing.
- Extensive experience in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform.
- Proficiency in coding, ideally Python.
- Broad knowledge of network support and engineering tools and technologies.
- Experience with low-latency and/or complex networks is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VRFs, and VXLAN.
