The Senior Salesforce Engineer Opportunity

This role involves designing and developing secure, scalable Salesforce solutions. You will work with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers from ideation to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and configuration tools.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business goals.
• Provide effort estimates and feasibility assessments.
• Develop features for multiple Salesforce clouds including Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle with proper documentation.
• Create and execute test cases to ensure quality and security.
• Support production deployments and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Salesforce development experience with Apex, Process Automation tools, and LWC.
• 5+ years of software development with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Communities.
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to manage full lifecycle Salesforce projects independently.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Extra credit for Salesforce certifications, AI-powered tools, DevOps practices and workflow automation experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges vary by location: For the San Francisco Bay Area, between $148,000—$222,000 USD; for other locations (CA, CO, NY, WA), between $132,000—$198,000 USD. Okta also offers equity, bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), and paid leave.

Work Arrangement

This role is classified as hybrid, with some in-person onboarding and flexibility based on location.
