Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own payments-related products for both internal teams and external consumers.
  • Drive business growth by identifying key areas where product innovation can significantly impact conversions and retention rates.
  • Understand the product's intricate impact on cash flows and effectively translate overarching business goals into a clear, actionable product roadmap.
  • Balance and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data derived from internal operations, business teams, and direct client feedback to rigorously validate product hypotheses.
  • Conduct thorough market research and comprehensive competitive analysis to strategically shape and position Okoora's payments solution and overall strategy.
  • Own the entire product lifecycle, encompassing market research, user research, defining wireframes, scope, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and managing development processes.
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with R&D, product, design, sales, CX, and finance teams to ensure alignment and cohesive execution.
  • Design and meticulously plan frictionless user experiences that delight our customers.
  • Think creatively and innovatively to solve complex product and technical problems.
  • Explain complex concepts and ideas in a simple, clear, and concise way to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, adeptly aligning various teams' priorities towards shared strategic goals.
  • Work intensively and collaboratively with technical development teams.
  • Operate effectively within an Agile development environment, embracing its principles and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Product Manager, with a strong, demonstrated track record in writing comprehensive PRD documents – this is a mandatory requirement.
  • Proven track record in successfully designing and planning frictionless user experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex problems and communicate intricate ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • A self-organized, process-driven, and data-driven mindset in all aspects of product management.
  • Extensive experience working intensively and collaboratively with technical teams.
  • Familiarity and practical experience with Agile development environments.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Prior experience working with APIs.
  • A strong background in FinTech and payments industry.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data analytics tools such as Hotjar and Google Analytics to derive insights.
  • A foundational technical background.
