Job Description
Software Solutions Engineer
Solutions Engineers at Okendo work closely with customers and internal teams to understand, scope, and build customized software solutions for Okendo’s e-commerce merchants. You will become a highly knowledgeable product and integration expert and you will work directly as an engineer to build and deliver technical solutions.
How you'll create impact:
- Technical Expertise: Leverage a tech stack including Typescript, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Node, React, Angular, and AWS. Support pre-sale and post-sale processes by providing technical product expertise, designing solutions for custom functionality, reporting, data migration, and handling escalated support tickets. Collaborate with tech and agency partners to develop custom functionality for 3rd-party tech integrations.
- Product Expertise: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Okendo’s products, code base, and integrations through internal training and independent research.
- Project Management: Partner with prospects and customers to understand their requests and gather technical requirements to recommend solutions. Build relationships with key customer stakeholders by serving as a technical liaison. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, communicating customer feedback, bugs, and gaps, building custom solutions for strategic accounts, and testing Okendo APIs and new product releases.
What we need from you:
- At least 3 years of experience as a software developer.
- Intermediate/Advanced expertise with our tech stack: Typescript, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Node, React, Angular, AWS.
- Knowledge of the Shopify environment, Shopify Liquid, and Shopify’s API.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with global customers and internal staff.
- Ability to take initiative, manage projects independently, and deliver within timelines.
- Creative and critical thinking skills to solve complex issues using Okendo’s product and integration stack.
