Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager at OCI Hospitality is responsible for driving growth in existing client relationships and sourcing new accounts across multiple hotel markets. This role focuses on strengthening client networks and managing complex sales issues for various locations. Occasionally, this position may offer task force support to the portfolio.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Identifies and executes diverse sales strategies to expand the hotel's client base and increase top-line revenue across designated segments (BT, SMERF, F&B, Government).
- Qualifies each potential business opportunity through pre-call planning, identifying key client needs, and addressing potential obstacles.
- Conducts proactive outside sales activities within the assigned market and consistently achieves weekly sales goals set by leadership.
- Responds to all leads and inquiries promptly, customizing responses to meet each client's specific requirements.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of competitor activities and market conditions, applying effective strategies to grow business.
- Prepares and submits weekly reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Fosters positive and professional relationships with staff and clients.
- Presents the hotel attractively to prospective clients through engaging narratives, highlighting opportunities, conducting on-site property tours, and engaging in off-site client interactions.
- Accurately documents all sales activities and bookings in designated systems according to established standards.
- Participates actively in local hospitality and community networking events.
- Performs all necessary group savvy tasks.
- Assists with onboarding, training, new hotel openings, and sales blitzes across the portfolio as requested by the sales leadership team.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant sales management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge across multiple hotel brands.
- Proficiency in sales systems such as Delphi.FDC, CVent, Meeting Broker, and Lanyon.
- Ability to train others on various brand platforms and systems.
- Strong ability to prioritize and independently direct sales efforts and tasks for multiple markets.
- Previous experience in outside sales is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including clear speaking and attentive listening.
- Ability to read and write effectively.
- Proven capability to resolve problems efficiently.
- Adept at managing stressful situations with poise and finesse.
