About The Kitchen Supervisor Role
As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing foods according to specifications and quality standards established in recipes and procedures. This includes preparing equipment and food based on forecasted needs and events, and maintaining a working knowledge of all kitchen machinery operations. You will also maintain updated knowledge related to current menu options, preparation methods and techniques, and ingredients.
A key aspect of this role involves assisting in training cooks on proper cooking, procedures, and menu presentation. You will also maintain appropriate inventory controls, date all incoming products, and complete monthly inventory. Furthermore, you will assist in ordering, receiving, and storing all food and beverage related products. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the department and upholding policies and procedures for the safety of guests and team members are also crucial. You will assist team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Required skills include strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. The ability to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism, and to conduct work-related functions in a professional manner, is essential.
