Position Summary
The Events Kitchen Assistant at Ensemble Arts is responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes and standards. This role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits including health, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment
- Operate across multiple kitchen stations
- Prepare dishes ensuring quality food portions and presentation
- Utilize excellent knife skills and cooking proficiency
- Assist the Culinary Management team with food preparation tasks
- Maintain clean work areas including kitchens, storage, and equipment
- Help unload deliveries and keep storage areas organized
Qualifications
- 2+ years of off-premise catering or cook experience
- Professional work ethic and effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Leadership and teamwork in a dynamic kitchen environment
- Physical ability to work long hours standing and lift heavy items
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
