Position Summary
The Claims Director, working with the VP of Risk Management, manages day-to-day and long-term operations of the Corporate International Insurance Claims Department. This remote, full-time role is bonus eligible and offers comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage, plan, and coordinate insurance claims processes.
- Lead and guide a team, including vendors and TPAs.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures consistent with corporate strategy.
- Oversee claims management for general liability, property, cyber, and more.
- Collaborate with brokers, carriers, and project teams to achieve risk management goals.
- Ensure timely claim adjudication and process improvement.
- Represent the department and advise senior management on claim issues.
- Identify opportunities to lower the total cost of risk.
- Communicate complex issues clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of P&C claims management experience.
- Extensive knowledge in commercial insurance claim operations and coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Strong PC skills, particularly with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications like CCP, CPCU, RPLU, ARM, CISR, AU, PMP are a plus.
- Experience with international claims and multiple insurance lines is beneficial.
