Position Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager supports the daily operations of TD Coliseum & FirstOntario Concert Hall. This role ensures a safe, clean, and organized environment for events, staff, and guests. It involves working closely with the operations team to assist in event operations logistics, maintenance coordination, and general facility support.

Responsibilities

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, payroll, scheduling, and report creation.
  • Coordinate with teams to meet event requirements.
  • Manage inventory and assets using CMMS software.
  • Assist in preparation and execution of various events.
  • Monitor facilities and report maintenance, safety, and cleanliness issues.
  • Support logistical tasks including setup, teardown, and equipment management.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to operational needs and resolve on-site issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree in facility management, event/sports management, or a related field are preferred. Previous experience in venue operations or facility maintenance, strong organizational and communication skills, physical ability to perform manual labor, and flexible availability are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
