Job Description

Why nyra health needs you

At nyra health, design is not decoration — it's how trust, clarity, and innovation come to life. We're looking for a Visual & Brand Designer to own and evolve how nyra looks and feels across every touchpoint — from marketing campaigns and sales materials to UI components, illustrations, and visual elements inside our product. You'll work at the intersection of brand, marketing, and product design, with a strong emphasis on elevating our product UI and ensuring visual consistency between brand identity and the in-app experience.

At nyra health, we’re building software that makes a real difference. Our tools help clinics, therapists, and patients in their neurorehabilitation journey. Our products — myReha (therapy app) and nyra insights (web platform for patient management and analysis) — deliver evidence-based, AI-powered neurotherapy at scale.

If that resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.

What you'll shape

  • Brand & visual identity: Own and evolve nyra's visual identity and brand system — raising the design bar across all channels
  • Product UI & design system: Contribute to UI design, component styling, and visual polish within our mobile and web products — ensuring the product experience feels as strong as the brand
  • Illustrations & product visuals: Create illustrations, icons, visual elements, and micro-interactions for use inside myReha and nyra insights
  • Marketing & communication design: Design landing pages, campaign visuals, social assets, newsletters, presentations, and sales materials
  • Design system stewardship: Maintain and expand shared design assets, UI component libraries, templates, and brand guidelines in Figma
  • Go-to-market support: Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product to create high-impact visual assets for product launches and campaigns
  • Clinical communication: Translate complex healthcare and clinical topics into clear, engaging, and accessible visual communication
  • Cross-functional alignment: Ensure consistency and quality across brand, marketing, and product design — bridging the gap between how we present externally and how the product feels internally

What sets you up for success

  • Design experience: 3–5+ years as a Brand Designer, Visual Designer, or UI/Visual Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing both brand/marketing work and applied product UI design
  • UI design skills: Strong understanding of UI patterns, component-based design, responsive layouts, and design systems — you can contribute meaningfully to product design, not just marketing assets
  • Design craft: Excellent foundation in typography, layout, color, composition, visual hierarchy, and storytelling
  • Figma expert: Deep proficiency in Figma — including components, auto-layout, design tokens, and collaborative workflows
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Comfortable with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for brand and print work
  • Motion and animation: Familiarity with motion/animation tools (After Effects, Rive, Lottie) is a plus
  • AI-supported workflows: Comfortable using modern AI tools to iterate efficiently on concepts and assets
  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare, digital health, medtech, or working with clinical/medical content

Beyond your CV

  • Craft-obsessed: You care deeply about visual quality and sweat the details — from pixel alignment to color consistency
  • Product-minded: You don't just design for marketing — you think about how brand identity lives inside the product UI and advocate for visual quality at every layer
  • Pragmatic and hands-on: You own projects end-to-end, from concept to final asset, and are comfortable working fast without sacrificing quality
  • Structured and proactive: You maintain organized design files, anticipate needs, and identify visual inconsistencies before anyone asks
  • Curious about healthcare: You're interested in how thoughtful design can make complex clinical tools feel intuitive and trustworthy
  • Strong communicator: You can present and defend design decisions to stakeholders across marketing, product, and clinical teams

Why nyra health

  • Fast-growing digital health scale-up with international ambition
  • Opportunity to shape a category-defining brand in neurorehabilitation
  • Direct collaboration with the founders and cross-functional teams
  • Real ownership and visible impact from day one
  • Transparent, direct communication and feedback culture
  • Attractive compensation, Phantom Stock Options, and company perks (Wiener Linien Jahreskarte etc.)
  • Beautiful office in Vienna's First District with regular team events
  • Some of the best Mario Kart drivers in the Austrian startup scene ;)

The Process

  • Intro call (~30 mins): Background, expectations, and an overview of nyra health and the role.
  • Practical exercise: A short brand and UI design case, discussed with our Product & Design leads.
