Linux and UNIX Architect SME

Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert with in-depth hands-on experience managing Linux, AIX, Solaris, Clustering, and various compute hardware including HPE Synergy and C7000 blade servers.
- Expertise in managing VMware, LPAR/VPAR, Solaris Zones, KVM virtualization, Hyper-converge, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Design and prepare solution blueprints, high-level and low-level designs for infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud (Azure, AWS) environments.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience integrating technologies with Satellite, Dell, NetApp, Pure storage, Networker backup, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, and middleware services.
- Extensive experience in data center migrations involving the aforementioned technologies, including P2V and virtual machine migrations across platforms.
- Design, configure, and support Active-Active data centers with virtualization and clustering.
- Expertise in automating the technology stack using Ansible, GIT, Splunk, REST API, and OS scripting for provisioning, upgrades, changes, and management.
- Strong knowledge in monitoring solutions like Splunk, Zabbix, HPE OneView, and native OS monitoring tools.
- Good knowledge of storage, backup, networking, and security principles.
- Ensure license compliance of products.
- Research, identify, select, and test technology products for solution delivery and architectural improvements.
- Establish, implement, and document technology implementation, integration, and migration strategies.
- Design and document Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture for business continuity.

- Harmonize and maintain standardization in IT infrastructure solutions in data centers, adhering to global IT architecture and security standards.

- Define monitoring KPIs and thresholds for proactive availability and performance detection.
- Prepare, maintain, and track technology refresh roadmaps to improve efficiency, reliability, performance, eliminate technical debt, and mitigate security risks.
- Diagnose complex infrastructure issues and drive support teams for zero-impact service delivery through Incident, Problem, Change, and risk management.
- Support technical teams in fixing critical incidents and performing root cause analysis.
- Periodically audit existing systems infrastructure and architecture for quality, compliance, and accuracy.
- Perform assessments of existing systems infrastructure and provide recommendations for capacity, quality, high availability, and performance improvements.
- Recommend and coordinate upgrades, assisting business functions in technology planning aligned with growth projections.
- Understand requirements/issues and guide technology support teams with strategic and technical steps.
- Define system solutions based on business needs, cost, and integration requirements.
- Report findings to IT managers and stakeholders, providing clear roadmaps for changes and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT managers, infrastructure teams, and application domains to develop highly available and reliable systems.
- Oversee support teams implementing infrastructure changes, ensuring seamless integration.
- Coordinate with project teams and IT managers to track and implement infrastructure migration and changes.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in an IT architecture/SME role.
