Solutions Architect, Higher Education and Research

About the Role

NVIDIA is seeking a Solutions Architect, Higher Education and Research. This role is designed for computational scientists, engineers, or data scientists passionate about AI and high performance computing (HPC). The focus is on leading technical engagements with universities and research institutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand technical requirements and goals.
• Lead HPC and AI technical engagements using NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms.
• Document knowledge through training, whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles.
• Provide customer feedback to engineering teams for product enhancements.
• Utilize conferencing tools and travel up to 20% as needed.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in porting or optimizing scientific applications for GPUs.
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with academic or research computing environments.
• Full-stack scientific computing experience with languages such as C/C++, Python, CUDA, OpenACC, OpenMP, and MPI.
• Experience in designing and implementing computing infrastructures for AI and HPC workloads.
• Familiarity with orchestration and containerization tools like Slurm, Kubernetes, Docker, or Singularity.
