Job Description

About the Senior Developer Advocate Engineer Role at NVIDIA

High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are core markets for NVIDIA. Researchers and scientists leverage full-stack optimizations to accelerate their workloads and research. To support the adoption of Accelerated Computing, NVIDIA spearheads a series of hackathons and bootcamps, collaborating with national laboratories, universities, and enterprises. These hackathons are typically intensive, week-long coding sessions where experienced mentors guide groups of researchers and data scientists in accelerating or optimizing their projects on accelerated infrastructure and enterprise-grade software, utilizing diverse programming models, frameworks, and tools.

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate Engineer to lead the technical engagements for its rapidly expanding Open Hackathons and Bootcamps program. In this role, you will work closely with scientists at universities, supercomputing centers, and enterprise organizations. Your mission will be to help their users integrate the NVIDIA accelerated computing stack (CPU and GPU technologies) into their work, optimize codes and AI workflows, promote their research, and cultivate a thriving community. You will establish strategic relationships with partners, mentor at hackathons, and contribute to crafting educational materials to prepare attendees for these events. If you possess a passion for research, connecting people, and mentoring, NVIDIA invites you to connect immediately!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in HPC and AI technologies, developing proof-of-concept solutions for real-world scientific and enterprise applications.
  • Create and refine training materials, and mentor team members during events.
  • Collaborate with and provide feedback to NVIDIA product teams to aid product adoption, identify bugs, suggest feature requests, and support other activities through the hackathon program.
  • Promote hackathon achievements through publishing blogs and papers, facilitating presentations, and utilizing other media to convey the impact of the work accomplished.
  • Mentor developers and researchers on integrating NVIDIA technology using AI & HPC architecture to support scientific and enterprise applications.
  • Strategize, identify, and assess potential sites, mentors, and key applications for Open Hackathons and Bootcamps.
  • Evaluate the computing and software infrastructure for each hackathon.
  • Write comprehensive internal feedback reports and identify opportunities for program improvement.

What We Need To See

  • 8+ Years of enterprise or academic experience in the Artificial Intelligence and High Performance Computing domain.
  • Master's degree in Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in utilizing the NVIDIA accelerated computing stack for HPC and AI workloads.
  • Strategic thinking capability, coupled with the ability to dive directly into day-to-day event and account management.
  • A proven ability to thrive in highly dynamic environments and lead change through cross-functional teamwork.
  • Demonstrated capacity to understand partner goals and translate that feedback into actionable plans addressing core needs.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Experience in deploying and managing data center scale applications for HPC, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL).
  • Prior experience using the NVIDIA AI software stack for research and deployments.
