We are looking for a dedicated Security Systems Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves comprehensive ownership of the systems lifecycle, including planning, designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing systems that adhere to United States federal regulations. • Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and implement sophisticated solutions.
  • Partner with vendors and solution providers to integrate and enhance systems.
  • Coordinate with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment.
  • Recommend and implement system optimizations for efficiency and security.
  • Support audit initiatives, ensuring compliance readiness.

What We Need To See

  • Previous experience operating organization-wide systems aligned with NIST 800-171 / CMMC / FISMA / FedRAMP.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud technology solutions that enable business operations.
  • Previous customer service management experience, focusing on user needs.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cloud System Architect certifications, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud security providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud compliance).
  • Advanced skills in data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting compliance metrics.
  • Over 6+ years of experience in information security engineering with an emphasis on customer needs.
  • Proven track record of handling ambiguity and delivering against requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, IT, Compliance, or a related area, or equivalent experience.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Solid understanding of export controls including ITAR / EAR / ACS IFR.
  • A resume that clearly demonstrates your impact in relevant roles.
  • Familiarity with DOD clearance processing requirements, SEAD 3, SEAD4, the 13 adjudicative standards, and tracking personnel security clearances.
