Role Overview
As a Manager Data Center, you will lead a team in building and supporting supercomputers and HPC-AI clusters within NVIDIA's networking clusters solutions group.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate the planning and build of complex clusters across multiple data centers and labs.
- Manage rack-and-stack, cabling, and space optimization efforts for efficiency.
- Oversee power and cooling strategies while ensuring optimal rack utilization.
- Coordinate daily operations and maintenance of data facilities and test environments.
- Install and integrate diverse infrastructures including Cloud, VMs, Storage, Network, HPC, and AI.
- Manage debugging activities involving network, optical cabling, bare metal, and operating systems.
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams to support project needs and experimental setups.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
What We Need To See
- MCSE or MCITP / CCNA certification.
- 3+ years of experience as a team lead in large and complex data center environments; 8+ years overall.
- Strong practical experience with operating systems and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux & Windows Core Services (DHCP, DNS, NIS, AD, etc.).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and guide a team.
- Passionate about delivering excellent service with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Ways To Stand Out
- Hands-on experience with Python and configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet.
- Experience with CI tools and job schedulers such as Jenkins and SLURM.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like KVM, VMware, and Hyper-V.
- Experience with storage solutions such as Netapp, Lustre, GPFS, ZFS.
- Strong understanding of L2 & L3 network protocols and technical issue resolution.
