Role Overview
The Director, Service Operations - Cloud Compute Services is responsible for leading and scaling a highly available Cloud Compute Service, managing an end-to-end Service Management Operation across multiple data centers and thousands of servers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and lead teams to bring new datacenters and solutions online.
- Craft SLAs and critical metrics ensuring high service availability.
- Build positive relationships with Hardware Engineering, Service Design, and Operations teams.
- Collaborate with peer organizations to resolve issues in service management, project management, and supply chain operations.
- Optimize operating costs through effective and efficient process implementation.
- Monitor service health by crafting metrics and dashboards.
Requirements
- BS/BA in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years in service management and technology operations with 7+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in large-scale 24/7 cloud operations and data center management.
- Proven leadership in building high-performance teams and managing multi-functional relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience with project management, vendor management, and global staffing.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range is 292,000 USD - 442,750 USD, plus eligibility for equity and comprehensive benefits.
