Manager, IT Applications at Nuvation Bio

Nuvation Bio is a biopharmaceutical company tackling some of the greatest unmet needs in oncology by developing differentiated and novel therapeutic candidates. What You’ll Be Doing

The Manager, IT Applications will be responsible for providing end-to-end application management with a focus on planning, building, supporting, and vendor management for different IT programs and business initiatives.

This position will be required to lead implementations, build business relationships, and support systems for various business functions.

The individual must have a solid understanding of cloud-based solutions and various business processes.

You will be responsible for…

  • Establish and maintain outstanding working relationships with internal business functions (Clinical, Finance, QA, Regulatory, Data Science, Pharmacovigilance, People Team)
  • Design, plan, and implement application support structures using managed services and/or contractors for various platforms
  • Manage budgets related to applications, service providers, and contractors/consultants
  • Act as the single point of contact for specific applications; work with the business in defining system roadmaps
  • Manage engagements with different vendors to ensure that vendors are meeting the expectations as defined in the contract
  • Ensure that the business requirements are understood by the vendor and all deliverables meet the planned objectives in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Design software release management process for application and infrastructure cloud solutions
  • Manage and coordinate different status meetings with the different stakeholders
  • Act as an escalation point for issues related to application integrations, data management, and infrastructure
  • Support IT infrastructure operations by partnering with IT infrastructure and service desks team members
  • This role will be point of contact for System Integration activities with recently acquired company (AnHeart) in China
  • Collect and maintain system specific information related to system architecture, contracts, business use, dependencies, interfaces, etc.

What Knowledge & Experience You'll Bring To Us...

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in IT
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Managed Services Providers for application support
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and understanding of SOX, GxP, and CSV
  • Experience working with Clinical, QA, Finance, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Data Science, or HR groups within pharmaceutical industry is a plus
  • Experience implementing and managing Veeva suite, NetSuite, Argus, or Workday desired
  • Broad IT application and infrastructure management experience, with particular emphasis in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Excellent management, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the business functions.
  • Experience leading international integration projects is a plus
  • Must be proficient in English
