What Awaits You as an AI Architect

As an AI Architect at NTT DATA Europe & Latam, you will be at the forefront of designing and owning a cutting-edge platform tailored for hosting and operating a diverse range of Generative AI (GenAI) use cases. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire lifecycle, from end-to-end design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure microservices (developed in Python) to serverless, APIs, and event-driven architectures. You will champion the best software design patterns and coding guidelines, ensuring robust and efficient solutions.

A critical aspect of this role involves the selection, integration, and orchestration of GenAI components, including advanced knowledge management, prompt/pipeline management, and sophisticated agentic workflows. You will also be instrumental in implementing tooling for efficient MLOps/AIOps practices, defining and establishing engineering best practices across data engineering, reusable service design, and CI/CD for automated deployment and monitoring. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with global stakeholders, product owners, feature teams, and both internal and external development partners to drive seamless platform evolution. Furthermore, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding architectural decisions and contributing to mid- and long-term roadmap planning. Operational responsibility for production platform components, ensuring stability, security, compliance, and reliability, is also a core duty.

What Should You Bring Along

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar architectural or technical leadership position.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, guiding engineers and feature teams, coupled with strong enterprise-wide strategic and operational awareness.
• At least two years of hands-on experience operating a production-grade platform in an enterprise context, focusing on reliability, scaling, observability, and lifecycle management.
• Practical experience with GenAI/LLM ecosystems, including inference optimization, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Solid knowledge of modern cloud architectures, specifically AWS, and deep familiarity with service-oriented and event-driven system design.
• Good understanding of containers and orchestration technologies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and serverless AWS services.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, and implementing security-by-design principles.
• Excellent communication skills, strong presence, and the ability to make well-founded decisions and influence at all organizational levels.
• A strong future-oriented mindset with a demonstrable ability to envision and shape technical evolution.
• Knowledge of additional languages/frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, Java) and test/automation tooling is a plus.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are essential; German communication skills are a plus.
