The Role

The Administration Officer role provides clerical and administrative support to the local healthcare team under the direction and supervision of the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and/or Nurse Manager 5 (NM).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or its equivalent.

Our location, team, and service

Custodial Mental Health (CMH) is a specialist mental health service within Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (the Network) that provides a range of mental health services to adults in NSW correctional centres. Custodial Mental Health is a specialist mental health team, which has mental health nurses (MHNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), Aboriginal Mental Health Clinicians, psychiatrists, career medical officers (CMOs), and psychiatry registrars who are supported by administrative and managerial staff. CMH clinicians work alongside staff from other Network clinical streams and CSNSW staff, including Psychology, Offender Services and Programs, and Custodial Operations staff in the provision of mental health services. Mental health services begin at the point of reception and continue through to release from custody or transfer to another correctional centre.
