About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Officer Level 3 in the Department of Community Child Health at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick, starting 12th January 2026. This is a temporary part-time position (16 hours a week) until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension from July 1 2026 to 30 June 2027.

The Administration Officer Level 3 will work closely with a range of health care professionals within the dynamic and innovative Community Child Health team, which provides clinical services and various innovative community programs to vulnerable children and their families.

The role is varied and entails providing support for the day-to-day administrative functions of the department, including assisting the team in their clinical roles.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide Secretarial and Administrative services to the Department, assisting the team in their clinical roles.
  • Schedule appointments, transcribe and type clinical letters, answer and respond to telephone enquiries.
  • Manage referrals, process invoices, and handle bulk billing.
  • Update and maintain patient information via databases.
  • Coordinate clinics through the patient scheduling system.
  • Organize patient files required for medical teams.
  • Perform Healthroster data entry and create rosters using demand templates for department staff members.
  • Exercise initiative in applying established day-to-day work practices and procedures, such as prioritizing workload and ensuring tasks are met within a timely manner.
