This position is based at Royal North Shore Hospital.
What You'll Be Doing
The Administration Officer provides comprehensive administration support and customer service to staff and customers of NSLHD, contributing to unit and department outcomes for smooth administrative functioning. This role operates under the direction of the Manager and the Patient Services and Information Unit.
The Administration Officer may be allocated across Patient Presentation Officer and Department Secretary positions as required to meet organisational needs and service delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Patient Presentation Officer: Provides administrative support at Patient Presentation Stations across Royal North Shore Facility, ensuring a professional, efficient service to patients, specialists, and staff. This involves technical competence in service provision, assisting in maintaining Cerner System data integrity, managing reception processes, and effectively handling presentation demand, including patient billing, appointment rebooking, and Napping.
- Department Secretary: Offers secretarial support for departmental areas within NSLHD. Duties include administrative support for booking, billing, diary management, transcription of reports, and collation/analysis of documentation. These roles support multidisciplinary areas and are not limited to a specific specialty.

This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy.
