About The Opportunity
Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) Anatomical Pathology Department is currently seeking a motivated and organised Administration Officer to join the team on a temporary full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and patient-focused service, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department. The Anatomical Pathology Department at RNSH is an enthusiastic and dedicated team of medical and scientific professionals, supported by highly skilled administrative and support staff, all working collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care.
What You'll Be Doing
The Administration Officer provides effective administrative and office support services for the Anatomical Pathology Department and our customers, whilst ensuring all tasks undertaken are managed in a timely manner.

Key Skills and Competencies
- Proven computer literacy and strong keyboard skills with speed and accuracy, including use of digital transcription equipment.
- Proven experience working in a high workload and pressure area with successful track records to provide best performance.
- Knowledge of clinical and corporate applications and work practices, and their relationship to other health care processes.
- Demonstrated ability and initiative to work both as part of a team and independently, supporting your team members and management.
- Sound knowledge of administrative procedures in a health setting.
- Demonstrated strong customer focus and commitment to providing exceptional services to all clients (internal and external to the organisation).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong written and verbal English.
- Capable of professionally liaising and working with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation using different modes of communication in a technical and business context.
