Administration Assistant

Sydney Metro Community Corrections, Corrective Services NSW, is seeking an Administration Assistant to join their team. This role is part of a talent pool creation for future ongoing and temporary positions within the Sydney Metropolitan area, valid for up to 18 months.

Multiple locations are available across Sydney Metro, including Bankstown, Blacktown, Burwood, Campbelltown, City (Darlinghurst), Fairfield, Hornsby, Leichhardt, Liverpool, Long Bay, Mount Druitt, Parklea, Parramatta, Penrith, Silverwater, St Leonards, Sutherland, and Windsor.

Your Role

As an Administration Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and reception services to both internal and external clients, ensuring the smooth delivery of quality services for the organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of administrative support tasks, including:

  • Handling non-complex client matters
  • Word processing and data entry
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Maintaining electronic and physical file records
  • Supporting meetings and events

What You’ll Do

This role requires a proactive individual capable of efficiently managing information and records:

  • Collating information to support the development of accurate documentation and reports, particularly relating to assets.
  • Updating records and databases, adhering strictly to records management processes to ensure information accuracy, correct storage, and accessibility.

Applicants with previous administration experience and a high level of computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and competency in applications such as record management systems, are highly desirable. A strong ability to learn and grow in the role, fostering a deep understanding of its nuances, is also crucial.
