Job Description

Your Role as an Administration Assistant - Clerk Grade 1/2

As an Administration Assistant, you will perform administrative and reception services for internal and external clients, directly supporting the delivery of quality services for the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. Your responsibilities will include a range of administrative support tasks critical to business operations.

This involves handling non-complex client matters, word processing, accurate data entry, preparing correspondence, taking minutes, and maintaining electronic and physical file records. You will also provide essential support for meetings and various events.

What You'll Do

  • Ability to collate information efficiently to support the development of accurate documentation and reports, including those related to assets.
  • Ability to update records and databases, ensuring compliance with records management processes to maintain accurate, correctly stored, and accessible information.

Applicants with prior administration experience and proven high-level computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite, are desirable. Competency in applications such as record management systems is also highly valued. A willingness to learn and grow within the role, including understanding its nuances, is important for success.
