About the Role
NSF is seeking a Retail Food Safety Auditor for the Spokane, WA territory (or Boise, ID). As an Independent Contractor, you will conduct food safety audits for retail clients to protect and improve human and planet health.
Responsibilities
- Perform 2nd party audits for retail clients
- Summarize audit findings
- Communicate effectively with clients, Audit Delivery Manager, and Account Manager
- Demonstrate high quality and integrity daily
- Complete audits during evenings, weekends, and occasionally daytime hours
- Travel overnight as required (up to 80% travel)
Qualifications
- Must have a degree
- At least 2 years experience in food safety or foodservice operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior food safety experience/knowledge
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and some daytime hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior food safety audit experience
- ServSafe certification
- Certified CP-FS or ability to obtain certification within 12 months
