Data Governance Consultant - Lyon

Novencia accompanies its clients in their digital, technological, and data transformation projects. As experts in Data and Artificial Intelligence, we help our clients exploit and leverage their data in all its forms by supporting them on projects related to Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Science, and Data Engineering.

Your Role:

Reporting to the consultants of the Lyon agency, you will work with end clients and/or within our Datalab’. As a Data Governance Consultant, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Analyze the broader client context and needs, and assess specific client requirements for data governance.
• Conduct a diagnosis of their current data governance practices.
• Develop data management policies, procedures, and standards in collaboration with the Chief Data Officer, Data Managers, and the IT department.
• Define governance frameworks including roles, responsibilities, and Data Management processes.
• Implement Data Catalogs and metadata management systems.
• Recommend and implement tools and technologies to support data governance initiatives, such as Data Catalog, Master Data Management, and Data Quality tools.
• Ensure that recommended data management practices comply with current regulations, such as GDPR.
• Be proactive, communicate, and train teams on good data governance practices and raise awareness of the importance of data management.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams from IT, CDOs, and Business Experts.

Your Profile:

With a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Data, you have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Skills:

• Mastery of the consulting approach, client context and needs gathering, and analysis.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Catalog, and Data Quality methods and tools.
• Knowledge of data security practices and technologies.
• Knowledge of GDPR regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of databases, Data Modeling concepts, query languages (SQL), and data manipulation tools.
• Familiarity with Data Analytics tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, or Tableau Software.
• Proficiency in a technical platform such as Semarchy, Data Galaxy, Boomi, or Collibra.
• Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Experience in an agile team environment.
