Role Overview: Data Governance Summer Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate School Summer Intern to join our Data Governance team. This role focuses on supporting the IDS Commercial Data Governance function, advancing governance capabilities and Agentic AI-readiness. This internship offers the chance to work on real-world Data Governance initiatives that benefit patients, enhance decision-making, and optimize operational performance.

Year of Graduation: 12/2026 - 05/2027

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to Data Quality & Data Trust frameworks across key commercial data domains, including IQVIA data, Field Targeting, HCP/HCO, Payer, SP/Hub, and Patient Journey.
• Participate in the Governance Command Center to identify key Data Quality challenges, analyze daily/weekly/monthly metrics & trends, define SLAs, and assist with executive reporting.
• Assist with KPI governance initiatives, understanding business requirements, governance frameworks, and developing a KPI trust index.
• Collaborate with Data Governance leaders to advance Agentic AI-readiness, assess governance platform capabilities (e.g., Collibra), and finalize future state strategies.
• Help develop data governance KPIs and executive dashboards, incorporating quality & trust indicators, trends, and scorecards.
• Assist in business metadata enhancement, automation efforts, and improving overall data workflows.
• Document key data assets, data ownership, policy requirements, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Business Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of AI, data lifecycle management, data lake concepts, SQL, APIs, and executive dashboarding.
• Experience with Copilot & GenAI-related technologies for improving data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL for effective data extraction and transformation.
• Familiarity with data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience working with large datasets from various sources.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate data insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Location & Compensation

This position is a hybrid role located in East Hanover, NJ.

Pay Rate (W2 Only - based on Education and Experience):

• Masters: $35.00/hour
• PharmD/PhD/MD/JD: $40.00/hour
• MBA: $43.00/hour

Contract: 2-month
