About The Opportunity

The Clinical Therapist is a key member of the Adult Service team in Mental Health and Addictions. Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Therapist provides assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. This role involves participation in quality initiatives, collaborative person-centred care, and the use of available information technology to support best practices. The position supports priority appointments from Intake and Transfer of Cares and provides short-term intervention while also receiving supervision and mentorship.

About You

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in a clinical health-related discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy) and current registration with the relevant provincial regulatory body. You should have knowledge of DSM-5 criteria, evidence-informed therapeutic approaches for mental illness and addictions, crisis intervention skills, and the ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member. Experience in individual and group therapy, family engagement, and use of multiple software applications is essential. Knowledge of community resources, excellent problem-solving, organizational skills, and high-level communication are required. Competency in additional languages, particularly French, is an asset. A minimum of two years of related licensed clinical experience is preferred, although candidates with less may be considered.

Compensation And Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive hourly wages and eligibility for a benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan. Preference is given to bargaining unit employees.
