Generative AI Strategist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Generative AI Strategist to lead the exploration, adoption, and strategic implementation of generative AI technologies across our Air Force logistics programs. In this senior advisory role, you will work directly with the Program Manager to develop and execute a roadmap for AI integration, balancing innovation with the practical constraints of the DoD environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop a comprehensive GenAI adoption roadmap.
• Lead systematic exploration of AI use cases in productivity, service, and capability development.
• Conduct evaluations providing go/no-go recommendations with supportive analysis.
• Document outcomes, limitations, implementation requirements and cost-benefit analyses.
• Advocate and educate teams on generative AI applications and practical use.
• Provide hands-on training, demonstrations, and implementation support.
• Work with delivery leads to identify AI opportunities aligned with program objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend LLM models and appropriate AI applications.
• Design architectural solutions including RAG implementations and document parsing pipelines.
• Lead policy development for AI ethics, data handling and responsible use.
• Create guidelines for quality assurance of AI outputs and executive-level presentation materials.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in AI/ML roles with at least 3 years focused on generative AI and large language models. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Required skills include hands-on experience with multiple LLM models such as Anthropic Opus, OpenAI GPT-4/4.5 and proficiency in AI applications like ChatGPT and Claude. Experience in designing AI architectures (RAG, document parsing, agent frameworks, prompt engineering) is crucial. Exceptional ability in translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences is also required.

Preferred Experience

Experience in DoD, federal government or highly regulated industries, familiarity with DoD data management frameworks, background in enterprise architecture, and a track record of successful technology adoption are highly desirable.
