Field Service Technician
NOV is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Technician to join our Service Team in Manchester. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the role involves on-site customer support and workshop activities at our Middleton facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for service maintenance and workshop tasks.
- Prepare and approve work packs for service team activities.
- Perform mechanical checks, factory acceptance tests, electrical loop checks, and leak/pressure testing.
- Compile detailed technical reports on customer equipment.
- Deliver after sales support including inspections and spare part identification.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
- Travel daily to customer sites, both domestically and overseas.
Qualifications & Skills
- Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, NVQ LEVEL 3 OR ABOVE, ONC, HNC).
- Desirable: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Desirable: Experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems.
- Desirable: Understanding of industry standards and wastewater procedures.
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
