Senior Cybersecurity Privacy & Compliance Automation Engineer

About the Role

The Senior Cybersecurity Privacy & Compliance Automation Engineer at NOUS LATAM is a technology-first role in a fast-growing biotechnology company. The role focuses on automating cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance controls across cloud and on-premise environments while working closely with Engineering, Data, Cloud, and Compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and automate cybersecurity and privacy controls.
• Build and maintain privacy-by-design and security-by-design architectures.
• Automate compliance processes for regulations like GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
• Implement and manage GRC, privacy management, and security automation tools.
• Embed security and privacy controls in CI/CD pipelines and product architectures.
• Monitor and improve security posture, risk management, and compliance maturity.
• Support audits, certifications, and technical risk assessments.
• Translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Data Protection, and Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Strong technical background in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with security and compliance automation tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of data protection and privacy frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
• Experience integrating security into SDLC / DevSecOps processes.
• Ability to work with APIs, scripting languages like Python, Terraform.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical and compliance teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in biotech, healthtech, or life sciences environments.
• Knowledge in data governance, classification, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with privacy automation platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID).
• Exposure to AI, data platforms, or regulated R&D environments.
