Job Description

About Us

Notion helps you build beautiful tools for your life’s work. In today's world of endless apps and tabs, Notion provides one place for teams to get everything done, seamlessly connecting docs, notes, projects, calendar, and email—with AI built in to find answers and automate work. Millions of users, from individuals to large organizations like Toyota, Figma, and OpenAI, love Notion for its flexibility and choose it because it helps them save time and money.

In-person collaboration is essential to Notion's culture. We require all team members to work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, our designated Anchor Days. Certain teams or positions may require additional in-office workdays.

About The Role

This is an early-career role for builders who thrive in turning ambiguity into momentum. You'll wear many hats across the People team, but the core job is simple: jump in, chart the path, and drive projects based on business priority and impact. You'll make an outsized impact on Notion's People Experience by supporting the People Leadership team on high impact initiatives such as Employer Brand, Internal Mobility, and Global Onboarding.

This role is designed for a strong operator and communicator who brings cross-functional partners together thoughtfully, drives clarity, and executes at pace. Your steady hand and sharp execution will keep the People team running like a well-oiled machine—freeing the wider team to focus on enabling our employees to do their best work while creating magical moments that matter along the way.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is deeply curious, hungry to grow, and eager to hone their craft in People. You're someone who sees this role not as a stepping stone, but as a launchpad—an opportunity to learn from talented leaders, shape meaningful employee experiences, and develop expertise across the full spectrum of People work. You bring energy, optimism, and a genuine care for people. You're excited to be part of something bigger than yourself and to help build a workplace where everyone can do the best work of their careers.

What You'll Achieve

  • Strategize & Streamline: You'll focus on keeping the People team aligned around our strategic objectives. You'll spot gaps before they become blockers, jump in where needed, put process in place where it makes sense, and unblock teams so they can ship.
  • Drive Business Impact: You drive projects from idea to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and measurable outcomes. You adapt quickly to feedback, embrace continuous improvement and keep initiatives on track, on time, and delivering real value.
  • Partner with Leadership: Support People leadership to navigate complex, sensitive matters with care and thought to ensure we always deliver an exceptional employee experience.
  • Collaborate with, well, almost everyone!: Whether it’s our People leadership team, project leaders, environment team, or new hires, you’ll partner with a wide range of Notinos and work across the organization as it scales globally.
  • Shape Culture: You build strong relationships across the organization, deeply understand what makes Notion special, and act as a culture carrier. As we scale, you’ll help preserve the values and moments that define us—ensuring our culture evolves thoughtfully without losing what makes it magical.

Skills You'll Bring

  • Builder’s Mindset: You're resourceful and willing to roll up your sleeves. You have strong organizational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You anticipate change and see around corners. You take projects from start to finish with a bias toward action, turning ambiguity into clear next steps and shipping results.
  • AI Native: You're genuinely interested in AI technologies and eager to learn how to build with them. You see AI as a tool to automate workflows, reduce toil, and accelerate execution. Beyond personal use, you're excited to champion AI adoption across the People organization, helping teammates discover new ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
  • Proven track record of execution: You hold yourself to a high quality bar. Details matter. You test end-to-end. You use data and metrics to guide decisions. In whatever field or passion you've pursued, you've excelled—whether in academics, athletics, creative work, or professional projects. You're disciplined and focused, with a track record of moving fast without compromising on design and craft.
  • Thoughtful problem-solving: You approach problems holistically, starting with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can navigate ambiguity successfully, decompose complex problems into clean solutions, while also balancing the business impact of what you’re building.
  • Proactive communication and high agency: You own your work, communicating clearly about progress and blockers. You don't wait for instructions for every step but rather show initiative in identifying what needs to be done and driving projects forward. You ask questions when needed while independently finding solutions to problems.

You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results
