Job Summary
Northwood Club is seeking a full-time Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of people and property. The role involves enforcing club rules, policies, and regulations. This position requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to complete or possess CPR & First Aid Certification.
Essential Duties
- Serve as the visual point of contact for everyone entering and exiting club property.
- Verify incoming traffic, alert staff to deliveries and guests, and direct guests and vendors to parking areas.
- Authenticate members and employees entering the property.
- Document guests in the guest log.
- Patrol property, checking for suspicious activity, persons, or safety/fire hazards.
- Investigate and report hazards or unusual circumstances to management.
- Observe activity and traffic to enforce club rules and regulations, alerting visitors of infractions.
- Assist persons on property with directions or club information.
- Respond to alarms and dispatched calls, determining appropriate actions.
- Adhere to the club's emergency response manual and security procedures.
- Submit daily incident reports at the end of each shift.
- Patrol property using a golf cart to ensure all facilities are secure.
- Patrol and secure off-site parking lots as needed.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as trained.
- Maintain flexibility to take on new tasks as directed.
- Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
- Operate and drive a golf cart.
- Comply with all safety policies, federal laws, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
