Job Description

This full-time, 40 hrs/wk position as an Operations Coordinator - PACU reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine. The role involves facilitating unit operations, planning and scheduling staff, and ensuring high quality, cost-effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate unit operations according to policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and prepare unit-based staffing and scheduling to optimize care.
  • Champion initiatives and participate in committees/task forces.
  • Monitor quality indicators, patient safety, and satisfaction.
  • Assist with data analysis and approve automated time reports.
  • Manage routine technical needs and develop supporting tools.
  • Provide direct patient care and ensure clinical competence when needed.
  • Support process improvements and contribute to staff development.

Qualifications & Certifications

Required: Registered Nursing license (State of Illinois), BSN, BLS certification, and minimum two years clinical experience in the relevant area.

Preferred: Specialty certification in the clinical area of focus.
